NOW WE'RE TALKING with Drew Gasparini
Broadway composer Drew Gasparini has a lot of friends in show business. Sure, he knows what their resume looks like, and what their professional accolades are, but other than that, he doesn’t know shit about them. “Now We’re Talking” is a podcast where Drew invites his show biz friends to discuss things about them you can’t find on google. There will be a new episode every week, and each episode will feature a different guest from Broadway legends to TV icons. (twitter/IG: @DrewGasparini || tiktok: @theDrewGasparini)

Alex Brightman is a two time Tony nominee known for his work on Broadway in shows such as School of Rock and Beetlejuice. Andrew Kober has been starring in Broadway shows for over a decade in shows such as Hair, Les Miserables, Beautiful and MORE. F.
Ep 38 - Fergie L. Philippe: "Lin-Manuel, Can I Have Your Money?"
What’s the best way to get Lin-Manuel to give you all his money? Fergie L. Philippe breaks down the best method for me. For that reason alone you should be tuning into our conversation.
Ep 37 - Kate Baldwin: "They're There"
Kate Baldwin is not only a Broadway Icon, she’s a terrific hang, a super mom, and all in all a mega bad ass. We alllll know Kate from her Tony Nominated work in shows such as Finnian’s Rainbow, Hello Dolly, but I bet you’d never guess where she met her husband, actor Graham Rowat!
Ep 36 - Matt Doyle: "I've Never Smelt So Much Gas In One Room"
Matt Doyle is a Broadway treasure. Is there anything worse than seeing the friends you grew up with not age at all, meanwhile you feel like you’ve aged 4 times faster than most humans?? That’s how I feel when I saw Matt on the other end of this interview.
Ep 35 - Caitlin Kinnunen & Ryan Bauer-Walsh: "Gay Metallica"
What lullabies did we listen to as kids? Do we remember how WEIRD the children’s stories we were read as kids were? Does Tony nominee indeed have a dog fighting ring in her basement? Will I ever finally get Jonathan Groff to pay attention to the nonsensical beef I’m trying to start with him?
Ep 34 - Louis Sacco: "I Reach My Greatest Heights By Helping Others Reach Theirs"
Last week we spoke to a student of mine. This week we are talking to a mentor of mine! An amazing man with a storied life and career in both the arts and corporate America. He’s an entrepreneur and a business owner.
Ep 33 - Elisa Martini: "One Hundred Percent!"
Today’s guest is a little different than our typical lineup of household names from show biz. She is a 16 year old actor, singer, and writer who is just getting her start in the industry. She’s not a household name YET, but mark my words, she *will* be.
Ep 32 - Ann Harada: "Unsweetened Ice Tea"
Ann Harada is a Broadway legend! We ALL know Ann as the original Christmas Eve in Avenue Q on Broadway and the West End, but did you know that this nifty New Yorker is actually from Hawaii!?
Ep 31 - Meghan Picerno: "Andrew Lloyd Weber Could Really Use the Money"
Have a seat and listen the hell up. Meghan Picerno swung by the podcast and we got DEEP! We talk about our worst reviews, we talk about the return of Broadway, but not only that!
Ep 30 - Lesli Margherita: "I'm Jean McJean!"
We are not worthy! The Queen is in the building. Queen Lesli that is. Lesli Margherita is one of the funniest and most kick ass people in the business.
Ep 29 - Raymond J Lee: "He Who Study's Well"
Sit your ass right down and LISTEN! Broadway’s secret weapon is here! It’s Raymond J Lee! We all know Ray from his work on stage in such shows at Mamma Mia, Soft Power, and Groundhog Day, but did you know Ray was supposed to be a doctor!
Ep 28 - Lilli Cooper & Ethan Slater: "I Did Not Say Murder"
Tony Nominee Lilli Cooper returns! And this time she’s joined by Tony Nominee Ethan Slater! Both starred in Spongebob Squarepants on Broadway, but did you know that these two went to college together! Lilli and Ethan not only perform together, but collaborate together as well!
Ep 27 - Natalie Weiss: "Spaghetti in Bed"
Jumping f***ing jesus! Natalie Weiss is in the house! Natalie and I talk about everything from eating spaghetti in bed, sending food back at a restaurant, and what it takes to be a bad ass entrepreneur while also being an artist!
Ep 26 - Adam Pascal: "Shout Out to Greenblatt's Deli"
We are back!!! Season Two, bitches! Here we go! We are starting season two with someone I have been a fan of since I was in 5th grade! The iconic Adam Pascal!
Ep 25 - Season One Finale: Danny & Andrew
If you do one thing all summer, make sure it is listening to this episode. Today's guest is NOT in show business. Most people do NOT know who he is. But this is without a doubt the hardest I've laughed recording any one of the twenty five episodes of this season.
Ep 24 - Andrew Barth Feldman: "You Can Find Love at 'Scoundrels'"
Andrew Barth Feldman is an absolute gentleman! This was one of my favorite conversations of 2021 so far, and I’m honored the man himself sat down with me to talk about everything and anything.
Ep 23 - Troy Iwata: "I Took a Class That You Told Me to Pay You to Take"
Broadway and TV star Troy Iwata and I have known each other since I met him as a young new talented and tricked him into paying too much money for a masterclass I was teaching. WHAT A SUCKER! I’m thrilled I know Troy and I’m thrilled he was able to come by the podcast for some fun!
Ep 22 - Emma Hunton: "My Entire Life is Based off the Decision of a Six Year Old"
Emma Hunton is a class act. She currently plays Davia Moss on GOOD TROUBLE, now in its third season. But you know that! I bet you didn’t know that she once had access to LORD OF THE RINGS porn parody!
Ep 21 - Alex Wyse: "I Was Born on a Misty Tuesday"
My heart filled up like a pinata when I sat down for this chat. Alex Wyse is a good friend, and sure, we love him for his theatre performances in shows such as off-Broadway's "Triassic Parq" and Broadway shows such as "Lysistrata Jones" and Deaf West's revival of "Spring Awakening" but I bet you'd never guess that his grandmother was responsible for some of today's most popular advertising slogans?
Ep 20 - Antonio Cipriano: "A Fart is an Experience"
We should all be angry at Antonio Cipriano. He’s handsome, successful, young, and has great hair. So let’s just get pissed at the guy!
Ep 19 - Taylor Iman Jones: "I Have Good Teeth Privilege"
No one on this planet is more chill and charming than Broadway star, Taylor Iman Jones. It was a complete pleasure getting to talk to her about everything under the sun.
Ep 18 - Ryan Scott Oliver: "I'm a Christian Rock Fiend Even Though I'm an Atheist"
Ryan Scott Oliver is one of the most prolific musical theatre writers of our generation! He and I go back a long time and I didn’t think I could respect the man more until we had this conversation!
Ep 17 - Joe Iconis: "I Love to be Delighted"
Joe Iconis is huggable. Joe Iconis is intimidating. Joe Iconis has amazing talent. Joe Iconis also has amazing hair. He is a darling of musical theatre, and someone I always catch myself rooting for.
Ep 16 - Rob McClure: "Filming Vampire Movies in the Woods"
Rob McClure is a mother f***ing FIXTURE on Broadway. There is something infectious about the way this guy talks about theatre. A perpetual childlike wonder and amazement geared toward everything he does to contribute to the Broadway stage.
Ep 15 - Brandon J. Ellis: "A Life-sized Antonio Banderas Body Pillow"
If you’re looking for a full-sized, Antonio Banderas body pillow, then Brandon J. Ellis is the man you should be hanging with. Broadway star Brandon J. Ellis and I have been friends for over a decade.
Ep 14 - Lizzy McAlpine: "Maple Cream on a Biscuit"
Lizzy McAlpine’s music is so good that it makes me angry. Angry that I can’t be JUST LIKE HER! I had a blast getting to know this wonderful new singer/songwriter. She is working with some of the biggest names in the industry such as Jacob Collier and Dodie, and she’s getting praise from big players such as Sara Bareilles!
Ep 13 - Andrew Kober: "I Like The Idea of Being Mysterious"
Andrew Kober has been in every Broadway musical ever. Okay, well, not really. But he’s been in many of them. One of the workingest actors in the game. So of course we all know that he’s performed on the Tony’s twice: first with the revival of Hair and second with the revival of Les Mis.
Ep 12 - Drew Gehling & Julia Mattison: "You Can't Put the Sycamore Next to the Munchkins!"
We’ve doubled your pleasure with this seasons first DOUBLE GUEST EPISODE SUPREME MEGA BONANZA THINGY! Two amazing artists, and quite the kick ass duo, Drew Gehling & Julia Mattison! Ep 10 - F. Michael Haynie: "And This is F!"
F. Michael Haynie is a nerd. The most beautiful nerd I know. He’s my best pal. The people love F. That’s why he has been seen in big fat shows like Wicked as Boq, and Frozen as Olaf, but did you know that he know he has an INSANE knowledge for the lore of the Super Mario Universe?!?
Ep 9 - Brittany Hölljes: "You're A Little Gray Fox Having Coffee in a Little Tweed Hat"
Brittany Holljes, one of the driving forces behind the band Delta Rae stops by the podcast for a deep dive conversation! This one is particularly special to me because Brittany and the other band members of Delta Rae all grew up together!
Ep 8 - Bonnie Milligan: "Supple Awnings"
Bonnie Milligan and I simply don’t trust the Disney character Aladdin. And BOY do we make sure to talk about it. Bonnie, of course, is known for her work on stage in musicals such as Kinky Boots, and Jasper In Deadland, but did you know that she was raised in a doublewide trailer?
Ep 7 - Justin Guarini: "Do You Still Have a Myspace?"
It’s a scientific fact that Justin Guarini’s voice can get women AND men pregnant. Frankly, I’m sickened by the man’s talent and kindness. I mean it’s no secret that the man became a household name during American Idol’s first season as one of the two finalists alongside Kelly Clarkson, but did you know that his mother was a News reporter!?
Ep 6 - Amber Ardolino: "I Think That's How I'm Going to Thirst Trap"
As if we needed more reasons to love Amber Ardolino! Turns out she’s not only talented, beautiful, successful, and kind- SHE’S AN INTERIOR DECORATOR TOO! It’s like, enough already! We get it. You’re rad. And our conversation only cemented that fact.

Iconic TV host Marc Summers is HUNG LIKE A MOOSE …At least that’s the rumor we are starting here on this podcast! Marc Summers! Legendary show business fixture! We all know the man from his tenure at Nickelodeon as the host for “Double Dare,” and “What Would You Do?” - but did you know that he started out as a f***ing magician!
Ep 4 - Lilli Cooper: "I Just Want To Say on Record: Go Fuck Yourself Jonathan Groff"
Ladies and gentleman! Lilli F***ing Cooper is in the house! HOW EXCITING! Sure, it’s a thrill because she’s a Tony nominee for her work in Tootsie the musical on Broadway, but did you know that she loves Dexter’s Laboratory? I’m excited AF she’s here!
Ep 3 - Colton Ryan: "Try The Veal!"
I get it. Colton Ryan is the next big thing, what with his appearances on Broadway in musicals like Dear Evan Hansen and Girl From the North Country. But can you even comprehend how cool it is that he learned his face moisturizing routine from a TikTok video??
Ep 2 - Kathryn Gallagher: "So Bob Fosse Called"
It’s pretty clear that Kathryn Gallagher has an amazing start to an amazing career from appearing in the Broadway revival of Spring Awakening to her work on the Netflix thriller You. But did you know that she comes from a long line of artists and bacteriologist (whatever the hell that means!)?
Ep 1 - Alex Brightman: "A House With an Ass On It"
We alllllll love Alex Brightman for the work he’s done in the industry. And yes, we toooootally get that he’s a two-time Tony Nominee for his roles in School of Rock and Beetlejuice on Broadway.
