Alison Burns the passion for performing began at the early age of 2 when her parents say she began harmonizing with them as they rehearsed songs with their church band. Following in her parents' footsteps, Alison's first solo was in church, as well as her first tour. At the ripe age of twelve, Burns booked a southern tour with gospel group, The Young Continentals, and recorded her first album with Generation Blessed just a few years later. It was clear, her career had started but she insisted on developing her talent, and so she moved to New York City to attend The American Musical and Dramatic Academy. Just two months after graduation, Burns booked her first Broadway National Tour with RENT!, where she stepped into the swing position. After a year on tour, she re-signed as Maureen where she "jumped over the moon" for audiences all over the US and Canada.
