Gayle Rankin

Rankin is perhaps best known for her performance as Sheila the She-Wolf in Netflix’s hit comedy series Glow, for which she was nominated for two SAG ensemble awards in 2018 and 2019. She also appeared opposite Matthew Rhys in Season 1 of HBO’s reboot of Perry Mason. In May 2019, Rankin received critical acclaim for her performance in Mike Covino and Kyle Martin’s film The Climb, which first premiered at Cannes and was later released by Sony Pictures Classics.

On stage, Rankin garnered rave reviews for her performance as Ophelia opposite Oscar Isaac in Sam Gold’s production of Hamlet for the Public Theater. Other theater credits include Phyllida Lloyd’s all-female production of The Taming of the Shrew, Tony Kushner’s The Illusion, and Sam Gold’s The Mystery of Love & Sex opposite Diane Lane. In 2014, Rankin made her Broadway debut in Cabaret for director Sam Mendes and returns to Cabaret in 2024.
