Jenna Bainbridge is an actor, singer, and disability rights advocate. She originated a role in Suffs at The Public Theater, becoming the first wheelchair user to originate a role in a new musical on Broadway. She later played Nessarose in Wicked, the first time an authentically disabled actor portrayed the role on Broadway.
Her regional credits include Bring Down the House (Oregon Shakespeare Festival), Hairspray (Penny, Oregon Shakespeare Festival), Into the Woods (Cinderella, Phamaly Theatre Company), and Beauty and the Beast (Belle, Phamaly Theatre Company). She has also worked in television, commercials, audiobooks, and podcasts.
Bainbridge co-founded ConsultAbility, a consulting firm focused on accessibility in theater, working with Actors' Equity Association, USITT, The New Group, and Rutgers University. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Denver's Lamont School of Music, graduating magna cum laude.
