Joe DiPietro

Joe DiPietro is an American playwright, lyricist, and author best known for his Tony Award-winning musical Memphis, for which he won the Tony Awards for Best Book of a Musical and Best Original Score. He has also written the book and lyrics for the long-running off-Broadway show I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change. Other notable works include All Shook Up, The Toxic Avenger, The Thing About Men, Over the River and Through the Woods, and Art of Murder.
