Jorge Rivera-Herrans

Jorge “Jay” Rivera-Herrans is a playwright, songwriter and actor raised in Dorado, Puerto Rico. After spending his upbringing studying for a life in medicine with songwriting as a hobby, Jorge found his passion for musical theatre during his college years at the University of Notre Dame. There, he wrote the university’s first ever original musical, Stupid Humans. The musical, which is now co-written and goes by the title My Heart Says Go, recently released its Studio Cast Recording. Jorge has spent the last four years working on his passion project, EPIC, a sung-through musical inspired by Homer’s The Odyssey. He has developed an online community of over 620,000 people across TikTok, Discord, Patreon, and YouTube, using the platforms for online auditions and to showcase the material. EPIC recently released the concept albums for its first two chapters.
