Kayla Davion is a Broadway actress and singer originally from the South Suburbs of Chicago. She began her theatrical training during her senior year of high school after performing in an all-state production of Memphis. Davion attended Ball State University, where she graduated in 2017 with a BFA in Musical Theatre. She made her Broadway debut in the musical Waitress while still a student, making history as the first African American woman to play the role of Dawn on Broadway.

Her subsequent Broadway credits include the original cast of King Kong, where she served as an understudy for Ann Darrow, and Tina: The Tina Turner Musical, where she performed in the ensemble and served as an alternate for the title role of Tina Turner. In 2024, she starred as Jovie in the Broadway revival of Elf: The Musical. Davion made her New York play debut as Joanne in the 2025 Broadway production of Liberation, for which she and the ensemble received a Drama Desk Award. Her television and film work includes appearances in The Good Fight, Power Book III: Raising Kanan, and the film Better Nate Than Ever.
