Lynn Ahrens

Lynn Ahrens is an acclaimed American lyricist and writer known for her extensive work on Broadway. She has collaborated frequently with composer Stephen Flaherty, and together they have created some of the most beloved musicals of the modern era. Ahrens won the Tony Award for Best Original Score for Ragtime (1998), which also earned her Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards. Other notable works include Once on This Island (1990, 2017 revival), which won the Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical, and Anastasia (2017).
