Nick Rashad Burroughs made his Broadway debut in Kinky Boots, where he performed as an Angel in the ensemble and understudied Billy Porter in the lead role of Lola. He went on to join the original Broadway cast of Tina: The Tina Turner Musical before taking over the role of Ike Turner.
On tour, Burroughs played Toulouse-Lautrec in the national company of Moulin Rouge! The Musical and the Minstrel in Something Rotten! His regional theater credits included starring turns as Jimmy Early in Dreamgirls, Coalhouse Walker Jr. in Ragtime, and Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar, for which he won a BroadwayWorld Award.
