Nkeki Obi-Melekwe

Nkeki Obi-Melekwe is an American actress and singer known for her portrayal of Tina Turner in Tina: The Tina Turner Musical. She began her journey with the role in London's West End in 2019, succeeding Adrienne Warren. Following her West End performance, she joined the Broadway production, initially performing as Tina Turner at select performances. In November 2021, she assumed the role full-time on Broadway. Her other stage credits include Alice By Heart at MCC Theater and Half Time at Paper Mill Playhouse. On television, she has appeared in CBS's Bull and Showtime's SMILF. A 2018 graduate of the University of Michigan, Obi-Melekwe has been recognized for her powerful and graceful performances, bringing depth and authenticity to her roles.
