Patrick Cassidy, the son of Academy Award winner Shirley Jones and Tony Award winner Jack Cassidy, carried on his family's theatrical legacy across multiple Broadway productions. His credits included Radames in Aida, Frank Butler in Annie Get Your Gun, and Julian Marsh in 42nd Street, where he starred opposite his mother — marking one of Broadway's rare mother-son leading pairings.
Cassidy began his Broadway career in The Pirates of Penzance and also appeared in Leader of the Pack. Off-Broadway, he originated the role of the Balladeer in Stephen Sondheim's Assassins. His screen credits included the film Longtime Companion and television appearances on Smallville, ER, and Castle.
