Tam Mutu is a British stage and screen actor. He began his career on the West End in the early 2000s, and has since starred in a number of Broadway productions, including Doctor Zhivago and Moulin Rouge! The Musical.
Mutu was born in Hastings, England, in 1978. He studied musical theater at the Guildford School of Acting, graduating in 2001. After graduation, he quickly landed roles in national tours of Rent and Hairspray.
In 2007, Mutu made his Broadway debut in the musical Doctor Zhivago. He starred in the title role, and his performance was praised by critics for its emotional depth and vocal power.
In 2019, Mutu returned to Broadway in Moulin Rouge! The Musical. He played the role of the Duke of Monroth, and his performance was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album.
