[0:00] Andrew: We've got a mission to find the best song that's ever been on Glee.

[0:09] Andrew: There's no rhyme or reason to it, so don't get mad at me.

[0:18] Andrew: Gleek it by Gleek it, we'll rank everyone to see which song will move closer to spot number one.

[0:26] Andrew: Gleek of the Week, Gleek, Gleek, Gleek of the Week. It's Gleek, Gleek of the Week.

[0:35] Andrew: Um, just Gleeking with the girls today. Sometimes you just gotta Gleek out with your girls, and I am joined by two girls. One's named Audrey and one's named Emilee. Hello!

[0:46] Audrey: Hey!

[0:47] Emilee: Hey!

[0:48] Andrew: Okay, um, Audrey, I was saying before we started that you mean so much to me because you have been here, I remember one of the first, you've been on the podcast, this is your third appearance, yes?

[1:02] Audrey: Correct.

[1:03] Emilee: Third.

[1:03] Andrew: That's correct. Number three. You emailed very early on, and I remember like, like, texting, like, you sent like an email and was like, hey, like, I listened to the podcast, I would love to be on. And I remember like, sending a screenshot to Alison, I was like, oh my god, that we're being perceived. And, um, and I just, you were always that. So thank you so much for continuing to listen and being here today.

[1:31] Audrey: And literally, I forgot about that email. I was just seeing if I could find it. And yes, I did find it.

[1:37] Andrew: Yeah, I remember like, you were like, talking about like, listening, what really took me out was like, you were talking about like, how you would listen to the podcast as a group activity with your husband, boyfriend, fiancé, husband.

[1:50] Audrey: Yes.

[1:50] Andrew: Um, and, and that was like, crazy for me to comprehend that it was like a group activity to listen to a podcast.

[1:59] Audrey: Well, and at the time, he had not watched the entirety of the hit Fox show Glee. And I have since, we have since fixed that. So he's now seeing the whole thing. So and he's a big like, musical theater person. So it's not like it was totally out of his realm. Like he'd seen pieces of it here and there, but he just never seen the whole thing like straight through. So I was like, well, we have to correct this.

[2:18] Andrew: And if I remember correctly, Glee is obviously a big thing for you, but also Jonas Brothers and the Jonas Brothers have kind of named him as someone specific in the fandom. Right?

[2:33] Audrey: Yeah. So this is such a story. I can't believe this is coming up. He can hear me. He's in the other room. I don't know if he's actually listening. But yeah, um, so in so I've been a huge Jonas Brothers fan like, a very long time. And so when he got engaged and married to me, he was like, Okay, this is gonna be a thing. But they were broken up at the time. So he was like, Well, it's okay. It's a thing. It's not a thing anymore. But then they came back with Sucker. And he was like, Okay, so I'm gonna have to go to a concert. And I'm like, Well, yeah, you're, you're gonna go to a concert. So we got tickets to the show. We're pretty close to the front. And he was like, Well, I need to know the songs.

He's not a person to go to a show and like not know the song. So he like made a set a playlist of all the songs on the set list. And he texted me that he really liked the song Fly with Me. And so kind of as a joke, I texted my friend who was making signs for the show. And I said, Well, you make him a sign that says number one Fly with Me Stan. And she did. And so during that song at that show in 2018, their photographer like pan to him in the audience. I'll have to like send you this because it's hysterical. And it's just like the sea of like women and then him to standing there with his sign just like jamming out number one. And it went totally viral. Like they all posted on their social media. It went totally viral.

[3:43] Andrew: And then, oh wait, and so Fly with Me, Fly with Me is like, is put it into Gleek terms. What kind of like song like is it? How popular is Fly with Me like a loser like me is Fly with Me like kind of like a hidden gem? What are we saying in the fandom?

[4:02] Audrey: It's probably like a, oh man, hang on. I gotta like look at a list of songs because of course my, you know, this Gleek brain just hard hitting question went away. I would say it's probably like, you can't always get what you want within the fandom.

[4:16] Emilee: Oh, talking about it.

[4:23] Audrey: But it's kind of a deep. Yeah. Like outside of the fandom, like, people probably don't know about it. But in the fandom, people know it and know it's good.

[4:32] Emilee: And they're always doing Fly with Me. They're all like, it's always in the set list.

[4:37] Audrey: Almost always. Yes. And so then last year at their show, my cousin was like determined to get him noticed because he's never met them. And we're like, you know, we're trying. And Joe Jonas specifically is very active on TikTok. And so we're like, maybe we can get like Joe's attention. We did not know this was going to happen. But all of a sudden, at the portion where they usually take fan requests, they're like, we have someone in the audience that we would like, like to invite on stage. And we're like, what the hell? And they called him up on stage and got to perform like the whole song with them.

[5:10] Andrew: That's incredible. It was wild.

[5:10] Emilee: Wait, Emily, are you a Jonas Brothers fan?

[5:16] Emilee: So I am. I mean, I like their radio hits, but I'm not really I'm a little past the Jonas Brothers fandom. But I have I feel like that was originally that was like around the same time that Glee popped off, no?

[5:27] Audrey: It was. It was.

[5:27] Emilee: Yeah, I will say that. So I kind of maybe focus more on the Glee track of things. But I have a lot of nieces and cousins who are really big Jonas. I mean, they're still going to their concerts today. So yeah, obviously, I missed the boat on the popularity of that. But I don't dislike their music. I like Nick Jonas a lot when he was a solo artist too. And I'm a big musical theater person. So obviously, the fact that he's, you know, integrated into the Broadway world of it, obviously just incredible talent there, but not really as much of the fandom.

[6:01] Andrew: But I, I get it. I do definitely understand it. Audrey, you were there, obviously, for Scream Queens season one.

[6:09] Audrey: Oh, yeah.

[6:09] Andrew: Jonas.

[6:09] Audrey: Oh, yeah.

[6:09] Andrew: Yeah.

[6:09] Emilee: I love Scream Queens. Oh my God.

[6:17] Audrey: I only watched the first season. Not as good.

[6:21] Emilee: Yeah, yeah, yeah. I didn't make it through the second season. So I got to give it a chance. I got to finish it.

[6:26] Audrey: No, I don't know if you do. I think that you just do that season one on rewatch. You just keep on rewatching that. Season two doesn't exist. Just think that it was a one and done.

[6:30] Andrew: Speaking of Ryan Murphy universe, Emily, what are we saying about Glackett grievances? It's been a minute.

[6:42] Emilee: What do you have to say? You know, I will say that I have generally agreed with just about everything. I think that the right choices have been made overall. The big one for me, though, I mean, it's been said and it'll be said again, is that like a prayer, blame it on the alcohol. That was a hard one for me. I mean, that was probably one of the toughest ones this thus far.

[7:08] Andrew: But I will say that like what Ian in the last episode, Ian's defense of like, we have so many songs that fit the bill of like a like a prayer where it's like the end of episode, they're all like putting aside their differences and they're all singing a song together on stage. Whereas blame it on the alcohol like offer something new. It's true. I'm hearing that argument. I do. I do agree with that. And like you obviously it's popular for a reason, right? People love it. It is different. Like a prayer is my favorite Madonna song of all time. So just of all time.

[7:44] Emilee: I mean, I love the music video.

[7:52] Andrew: It's certainly not four minutes for you.

[7:52] Emilee: No, it is. Not four minutes, not for me. But no, I just love it so much. So I just think what it feels like almost like the first of its kind of those like and, you know, with a big choir, it seems like they like kind of like set the stage.

[8:06] Andrew: Yeah, yeah.

[8:06] Emilee: Yeah. So I mean, I'm sad to see it go. I understand why it did. But again, it's, you know, I'm, I'm not gonna, I'm not gonna be sad that blame it on the alcohol is going through because it is a banger. I mean, it's so good. You know, it is like you said, it is unique. It is different. It is something that's not just the same fan favorite episode to I think that it signifies like, something like an episode that everyone can like point to as well. But it's like, this is like an episode that every like universally loved.

[8:42] Andrew: And what I think that is the last song from that episode that's left and obviously for its namesake title episode that like, yeah, I just think it's I think it's great. I'm standing by it. I'm standing by the vote.

[8:55] Emilee: Yeah, I know. And I do like I'm not mad about it. It's just that's the only competition that I can really see that like, oh, yeah, I would I would not have wanted to be in their shoes or your shoes.

[9:12] Andrew: Audrey, it's been a little bit more time since we've last heard from you. Do you have lack of grievances that you would like to list off?

[9:18] Audrey: You know, I was like looking at my spreadsheet because I, you know, I'm a spreadsheet girly. I keep track of things.

[9:22] Emilee: Yeah.

[9:22] Audrey: I honestly I agree with this round. I've had really like no grievances with this round, which is crazy because it's so many like heavy hitters. But like, that's the one I was going to bring up was the blame it on the alcohol like prayer. But I get it. I totally get it. And I've just never understood blame it on the alcohol. That one is like, I just don't. It's never I've never been that I don't get it. I get people like it. It's not for me. But how about the episode itself? I my stand up from that episode is don't you want me personally? But like, I don't know the episode. I was a nerd in high school who did not drink. So I was like, these kids are drinking in high school. Like, did kids do that? And then I'm like, yeah, they did. They did. I'm just a nerd. So maybe it's just like me being a nerd that didn't get it kind of honestly.

[10:14] Emilee: Oh, and I also I don't do vomit. And so on that episode and its whole is like not good for me.

[10:19] Andrew: Yeah.

[10:19] Audrey: Oh, you don't do vomit. God.

[10:26] Emilee: Especially not great vomit. Not for me. Yeah. Nope.

[10:26] Andrew: Um, wait. So there we go. I feel as though this round. Yeah, not a lot of people are like coming on with grievances because I feel like we're almost like doing like a tidying up. This is like the round of just like, just like making the place like nice and tidy. And just like and then next round, I think a little bit a little bit more real.

[10:43] Audrey: Yeah.

[10:43] Andrew: And you think about it, you're going from 100 to 50 in this round. So like, these all of these are in the top 100, right? None of them are. Well, most of them are not bad, right? Like, there's not really many that are like,

[10:59] Emilee: I know, this is not.

[11:07] Andrew: I woke up this morning and I was like, Christmas Wrapping still in the cup. And I had it too.

[11:15] Emilee: Like you have your eyes out for to kill her. Audrey, where do you stand with Christmas Wrapping?

[11:21] Audrey: Um, I like her but like does she deserve to be in the top 100? No. So how about the top 50? Certainly not. No, I don't think so. I do like her like she's a bop and I don't skip her. I do like her.

[11:33] Emilee: Okay, wait, what I will say, what Christmas Wrapping has going for it is last Christmas song. And also, last Britney solo. So we have like these two kind of like, that's crazy. I didn't say, you know, I am really surprised that this is the last Christmas song that made it this far.

[11:45] Andrew: Yeah, that might be the number one for you.

[11:50] Emilee: For me, it was. I really loved Last Christmas.

[11:56] Audrey: You and I are the same person. That was my answer as well.

[11:56] Emilee: Yes.

[11:56] Andrew: Yeah.

[11:56] Emilee: Or I think I actually killed this one. Oops, the claims do it.

[12:04] Audrey: Maybe it's cold outside.

[12:09] Emilee: Did you? Were you there for that?

[12:14] Audrey: Yeah, I'm pretty sure it was. Was it Amelia and I for that one? No, maybe not Amelia and I. That was a different Warbler song that we killed. Oops. Yeah.

[12:20] Andrew: Um, no, I was for that. I can't remember what it was against. No, I did. I wish it was recorded. I wish.

[12:25] Andrew: So we want to potentially kill Christmas wrapping today. Is there anything, Emilee, is there anything that Christmas wrapping could be against that you would vote for Christmas wrapping? There is one, one song that Christmas wrapping would be, and that is Ice Ice Baby. Ice Ice Baby. That's it for me. I don't, that's the one I don't get. I don't get the campiness. I don't get the fun. It's, it's just cringy to me and grody. I don't know. Audrey, I, I always think that you had Ice Ice Baby, but you had Bust a Move.

[13:01] Audrey Campbell: Yeah, but they're like the same, same, they're different.

[13:05] Emilee Carroll: They're twins. Yeah, yeah. Um, Ice Ice Baby, where do you stand with Ice Ice Baby?

[13:11] Audrey Campbell: He can go. Is that a he him? Yeah, he can go.

[13:14] Emilee Carroll: He definitely him. Yeah, definitely. Yeah.

[13:17] Andrew: Okay, any other manifestations that we would like to make at this very moment?

[13:22] Emilee Carroll: No, but can we quickly, like, take two seconds and talk about Dancing with the Stars?

[13:31] Andrew: Oh, hey.

[13:32] Emilee Carroll: I think this is the first episode since it's been officially, yeah.

[13:37] Andrew: Yes. Wait, are you Dancing with the Stars heads? Both of you?

[13:41] Emilee Carroll: So I am not, but my best friend is. She has all of the gossip about this already controversial season with Harry Shuman.

[13:50] Andrew: From what I understand from an outside perspective, that it's like, Harry is paired with someone that they don't like. Is it villain? Is it like?

[14:01] Emilee Carroll: Okay, I got it. So my friend said, you have to talk about this. She said, tell your podcast if Harry Shuman is brought up, that the Dancing with the Stars community is not happy he got Jenna Johnson as his partner.

[14:17] Andrew: And I said, reasons being the producers always give Jenna and her husband Val, who has Jenna DeWayne this year, another dancer. They said they gave them favoritism. And Brit Stewart, don't know who that is. She is paired with Taylor Hanson this year, said that her dream partner was Harry Shuman Jr. And the Dancing with the Stars community has felt some racial controversy. So her and her husband have the professional dancers. This Jenna Johnson and her husband have the professional dancers and the community is not happy. They're excited for Harry to be on the show, but they're not happy about the pairing. So that's the drama that I found from Thank You Shannon. I do think that it's interesting that Harry Shuman is paired with another Jenna, this time not Auschwitz. Anybody make that connection yet? Am I the first?

[15:16] Emilee Carroll: You're the first. I'm the first. But I will say, I don't think that, okay, this is coming from someone that has never watched, I watched like, maybe a performance here and there. I don't think that he's going to win. I think that, like, the fact that Heather Morris didn't win, like, tells me that no, someone like Harry Shuman is not going to win. Right. It's going to be just like it was for Heather Morris, where people are going to be upset that he's had dancing experience, and they're going to vote him off. But other people this season, too, have dancing experience. So I don't know.

[15:57] Andrew: There's all, like, from what I understand from people, I don't know if this came from Matt, who watches it. But like, there always is, like, every season, like, one person in the cast that already has dancing experience. And this season, it's Harry Shuman, this other person that you, she was married.

[16:14] Emilee Carroll: Yeah, she was married to Channing Tatum, Channing Tatum.

[16:21] Andrew: Yeah. And she was in the first Step Up movie. I think so. I never saw it. But I think so. Yes.

[16:31] Emilee Carroll: Yeah, she was like, she's definitely got Step Up. Some dancing. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. We'll see. I did like, I loved Amber's post about it that I was like, yeah, so cute. And then Dijon's comment, I was just like, oh, this is this is making me so happy.

[16:49] Andrew: Yeah. Do we think? And I don't know, because I don't really watch Dancing with the Stars. We think there will be any, like, Glee references. Will he dance to a song from Glee? Is that something they do? Like, I know there's the whole dedication episode. Are they going to do something there? Or is he going to go a little more, like, personal to his life?

[17:08] Emilee Carroll: So this is going to try to get votes.

[17:11] Audrey Campbell: By appealing, I think. Okay, so again, this is coming from someone that doesn't does not watch the show. But I've been seeing a lot of chatter online that Harry, like a lot of like, people like projections of like, Harry Shum better do like a dedication to Corey and Naya. And I'm like, I think, as if he chooses to do that, by all means, go for it. But like, to say that, like, he's only like to dedicate this one song. Yeah, it's like he can he can have a relative that has passed. He can dedicate it to his wife, right? Like, right. It's like his children. Yeah, right. It's like not it. As much as I understand that they really love each other on set, they were also co workers. And like, that's right.

I don't know. Right? Yeah, no, I'm sorry. I agree. And it seems like they're kind of splitting his like, notoriety, not only from Glee, but also because he's a Grey's Anatomy. Because that's also ABC. Right, right. Exactly. So he's currently kind of like, yeah, right. Yeah, right. Yeah. So I don't know. I think that's really exciting, though. And I really I hope he goes more of the Amber route than the Heather route of being voted off. That's just wishful thinking. But I don't know. Do we recall like, how early was Heather voted out? Do we remember?

[18:37] Emilee Carroll: Early? Let's see if I can find it. But it was I remember it was like, shockingly early that people Yeah, it was early because I again, I'm not like a dedicated watcher, but my mom used to watch it. And I remember when I was learning Sabrina Brian from the Cheetah Girls was on. I think that was the first like dancer that was on the show. And we're so mad. And she got she got asked really early. And I think Heather was earlier, like she was closer to that era of Dancing with the Stars rather than the current era. So I'm kind of curious.

[19:11] Andrew: Yeah. How many? Um, was it 12? Oh, no, she was on for six weeks.

[19:19] Emilee Carroll: What year was she on? So yeah, it was like 12 or 13. If they didn't eliminate after the first. Um, I want to say like, because I know social media 2018 2019 social media is like such a big part of it now. Like they were really pushing for votes on social media more now I feel like than they were back in the day. So I don't know how much that's going to affect it.

[19:42] Andrew: Yeah, she was on season 24 in 2017.

[19:44] Emilee Carroll: 2017. Okay. Um, okay. Are we ready to glack it? Do we have any final Dance with the Stars thoughts?

[19:52] Audrey Campbell: No, I'm excited to see what it was the first Yeah, I thought I'm like, is this the first episode since it's been officially announced? Yeah, I know you talked about it on a little bit on the last one with the will they won't they but Yeah, yeah. Yeah. It's exciting.

[20:15] Andrew: Okay. Also exciting. So scary. Oh, I don't think any reason to be scared. Actually. I think this is one of those songs that it's like, I love it. But it's also one of those songs where I understand maybe it stayed a little bit longer than it should have.

[20:30] Emilee Carroll: Hmm. You see it?

[20:31] Andrew: Oh, I see a Marley face. I see Marley.

[20:38] Emilee Carroll: Is this superstition?

[20:39] Andrew: It is superstition. Okay, here we go. I loved that. I had the time of my life watching that actually. What do we think?

[20:54] Audrey Campbell: I'm very happy for you, Andrew. Um, I don't I don't dislike it. I don't dislike it.

[21:03] Emilee Carroll: That was the best answer.

[21:04] Audrey Campbell: It's really rude. I think to Melissa Benoist to put her against Amber Riley in such like a song that Amber Riley Amber Riley is meant to shine in that situation. And it just it's really hard to put the two of them next to each other. I think there's a villain in the song and it's neither of them. It's Darren Criss.

[21:22] Emilee Carroll: It's Darren Criss. You said that to my face. You really said to my face that Darren Criss is the villain. I'm looking at you right now. And I'm telling you right now that Blaine is the problem in this number. Do you not agree?

[21:31] Audrey Campbell: I think both of them are the problem to be so I if it wasn't Amber Riley solo, this would have like done numbers for me. But I feel like I think it just doesn't work for me. I got really, really excited when Marley got on the track like that. That is like when it's like we're getting like the regular kind of like Mercedes thing. But then just like to get Marley come in and she's like doing the runs and she's like coming out of her shell. I just think that's so cute and fun. I'm loving it.

[22:08] Emilee Carroll: So I think I think to me, Marley and Rachel, they work together. They have similar vibes. I don't feel like Marley has like, and I'm the whitest of white people saying this. I don't feel like she is the soul to stand next to Amber Riley on that song.

[22:20] Audrey Campbell: This is where we disagree big time. I think that Marley and Mercedes I'm like, I think we're fighting. We're fighting. We're fighting. I think that Marley and Mercedes, I think that they started Marley. I'm so curious what you're thinking, Emily. But they started Marley as like this kind of like anti-Rachel and along the way they found that it's like more tracked along with Mercedes, which I think is so much more fascinating. And I like that they have these like very few and far between moments together that like Marley and Rachel never interact. So, Emily, I'm throwing it to you. What do you think?

[23:08] Emilee Carroll: All right. Well, I really agree with Audrey here. I am. Yeah. So I wrote, I never understood why they're using Marley when Unique is right there. And of course, I also agree that with the Darren Criss of it all, that this track would have been, I feel, more successful if it was Artie instead of Blaine. I agree with that. And Unique instead of Marley.

[23:41] Audrey Campbell: Wait, can we can we build like the perfect arrangement that like, OK, we're keeping Mercedes, of course.

[23:48] Emilee Carroll: Yes. Yes.

[23:54] Audrey Campbell: I would like to keep Marley.

[23:56] Emilee Carroll: I don't. I agree with Audrey. I don't see. I feel like it's really forced. I don't feel that from Marley. I get I get the direction they're trying to do. And I agree. It's a really cool like, hey, look how this character is not just this one thing. And they're trying to show that she's got soul and she's got more to her. Yeah. I just never believed it. I guess I just never felt it from. And that's not Melissa Benoist's fault. It's just I just don't think personally that her voice suits a lot of that. Now, something like Blow Me One Last Kiss. Love her voice.

[24:35] Andrew: No. You are kidding. Stop. I love her voice. Now, is it inappropriate for that setting? Yes, it is not an audition song for a musical like West Side Story.

[24:51] Emilee Carroll: Grease. But I love their voices on that, but I don't get Marley here, and you don't get Marley there, right? Oh, I don't get Marley. I don't get either of them. I don't get Marley or Unique on that song. See, I get it. I just don't get that song. Yeah, I guess. I don't get this song. So, actually, this song, Kevin and Jenna did some kind of thing way back when on their podcast about what are songs that you're least favorite Glee songs, and this is one of them for me. This is one of my least favorite Glee songs, yeah, because I just feel like it feels so forced. I'm obviously thinking about Christmas wrapping now. Against Christmas wrapping, which could happen, what are you saying? Yeah, I would pick Superstition.

I would pick Superstition over Christmas wrapping. Yes, I would, because Amber Riley is incredible on this track. I mean, you can't deny this. Her voice is made for this kind of. For me, it feels, and I think this is just the episode in itself, because this is when Cory Monteith was going through his personal struggles, and this is when this whole end of the season changed. This was, it doesn't feel like it was supposed to be here. It feels really forced, and it just feels kind of thrown together.

[26:16] Audrey Campbell: Yeah. So, I just feel like I've always felt, every time I do a rewatch, I'm like, these are the filler episodes. So, it just feels very filler. Which is so interesting, because I feel like when the, usually the episodes before they go to a competition, you can really feel it in the air. I'm thinking about Funeral. I'm thinking about Props. I'm thinking about Mattress. These episodes where it's really, the stink is in the air of what's coming next week. This is a week before competition, and they're just treading water, it feels like.

[27:00] Emilee Carroll: Right. They're pushing Marley in a new direction. Right before competition. The week before competition, why would you be doing that? It just feels out of place. Nobody sounds bad on the track. I mean, that poor girl. I feel like, again, this must be out of her own comfort zone, it feels like.

[27:11] Audrey Campbell: No, I, for one, I can't reiterate enough. She is the best part of the song for me. That's so funny. Get Melissa on the pod. I want to know how she felt recording this. Yeah, get in here. Literally, my one note about this song is that Melissa, for obvious reasons, does not talk about Glee. But this girl is having the time of her life. She is one of the silliest girls. In this performance, you can see her having such a fun time.

[27:37] Emilee Carroll: It does look like everyone's having fun, yeah. That I'm like, we just are very remiss of hearing her talk about this time in her life, again, for obvious reasons. I just think that she's so interesting to me, Melissa. We don't talk about her enough.

[28:03] Audrey Campbell: It's true. I think that there is a lot of Marley erasure because everyone feels the way they feel about season four versus season six, newbies and all that kind of stuff. She's very talented. I mean, she is incredible. But I don't know, something for me about this number. Maybe it's just one that I just don't get. I'm sure that obviously there are many people like you, Andrew, who'd like get it.

[28:26] Emilee Carroll: I don't think that there are. I think that I'm in the minority here of liking Superstition. Wait, I'm so curious. What did Superstition win against?

[28:36] Audrey Campbell: I was just looking that up, Andrew. So last round-

[28:39] Emilee Carroll: Wait, do you have the answer?

[28:40] Audrey Campbell: Yes. So last round, it took out Raise Your Glass season two. And the round before that, it took out Telephone. And I didn't quite get to round one when it took out.

[28:51] Emilee Carroll: That makes me sad. I would have loved Telephone to stay around a little longer.

[28:55] Audrey Campbell: Wait, in round number one, why do I feel like it was against, was it Take My Breath Away?

[29:01] Emilee Carroll: Oh, it was I Have Nothing.

[29:04] Audrey Campbell: I have, oh, okay. And that makes sense. And that was, anything would have won against that. I'm so sorry. Okay. Interesting. So it took out Telephone and Raise Your Glass season two, which, huh, wait, who was on the Raise Your Glass episode? Who was on that? Do you know?

[29:21] Emilee Carroll: That was Alison and Connor.

[29:25] Audrey Campbell: Alison and Connor. Alison and Dodge. Yes.

[29:28] Emilee Carroll: I believe so. Yes.

[29:29] Audrey Campbell: Yeah. Interesting. Okay. I would like for this to last another round, but I don't think that it's in the cards.

[29:37] Emilee Carroll: It could. There's a couple things. I was looking at my playlist today. There are a couple things that I was like, oh, she's still here? Like, oh.

[29:45] Audrey Campbell: You would, hypothetically, I Say's Baby? And, like, More Than Words, still here.

[29:52] Emilee Carroll: More Than Words. We're gonna have a discussion. Okay, let's see.

[29:57] Audrey Campbell: Oh, this is interesting. I actually, off the top of my head, without watching this song yet, I don't know what I'm voting for. Season two finale. This thumbnail is crazy.

[30:13] Emilee Carroll: Oh, oh my God.

[30:15] Audrey Campbell: You know it. Come on. Audrey, do you know it?

[30:18] Audrey Campbell: No, my brain has turned off.

[30:20] Emilee Carroll: It's not pretending.

[30:21] Audrey Campbell: Is it Light Up The World?

[30:23] Emilee Carroll: It's not pretending. It's Light Up The World.

[30:25] Audrey Campbell: Light Up The World.

[30:27] Emilee Carroll: Sure is. It's been a minute since I've watched that. I was taken on a journey watching that.

[30:36] Audrey Campbell: Who wants to start discourse on Light Up The World?

[30:39] Emilee Carroll: I'll start on this one.

[30:42] Audrey Campbell: Well, of course, we have to start with Throw Your Dad Away.

[30:44] Emilee Carroll: Throw Your Dad Away. You can't unhear it.

[30:48] Audrey Campbell: You can't.

[30:49] Emilee Carroll: Even in the mp3, when I hear it, I'm just like, there it is.

[30:53] Audrey Campbell: There it is.

[30:54] Emilee Carroll: Are you listening to the mp3 often?

[30:56] Audrey Campbell: Not often, but because I run the playlist, it's in the mix of all of my music.

[31:03] Emilee Carroll: Yeah.

[31:03] Audrey Campbell: It just shows up randomly sometimes.

[31:05] Emilee Carroll: Yeah.

[31:07] Audrey Campbell: I commented a lot on the outfits, because, you know, we've been doing outfit talk. And the men look incredible. This is a top tier outfit for the men.

[31:19] Emilee Carroll: But the other half, the girls, those boots.

[31:21] Audrey Campbell: Yeah, the boots are rough.

[31:24] Emilee Carroll: And the dresses are, I would say, middle of the pack. But I don't know. They kind of look like bad, like, local theater costumes.

[31:33] Audrey Campbell: Well, then they're true to form, right?

[31:36] Emilee Carroll: Yeah, I guess. I feel like that's like kind of just like a middle, less than middle kind of outfit for them.

[31:45] Audrey Campbell: Yeah, I'm looking at it right now. Boas at the bottom of their dresses. Like, it looks like someone literally like stapled a boa, like a feather boa to the bottom of their dresses.

[31:58] Emilee Carroll: Audrey, what are you thinking about Light Up the World?

[32:02] Audrey Campbell: Well, when we first determined what the song was, I was like, I had fun watching it, though. I had a really good time. I like that all of the members are in it. I love a Corey feature. And like, just getting to see Corey, he just he's having so much fun. He is like, so intense with this. There are certain songs that Corey like really locks in and is like yelling almost.

[32:28] Emilee Carroll: Yeah, like Paradise.

[32:30] Audrey Campbell: Yeah, yeah, exactly. He is lighting up that stage, to make a pun. I don't know. I enjoyed it. Like I said, I thought the Naya feature at the beginning was great. Like, I love getting to see everybody just sing. I had fun. It brought a smile to my face. I really don't have like too much to say about this.

[32:51] Emilee Carroll: What's coming up for me is like, I just watched props and nationals recently. And I think what the thought that I'm having right now is in props, they do like a very specific thing, which maybe I've talked about before. But like, they do a specific thing where they talk about the setlist that they're going to be doing in props. And they actually do that setlist in nationals, which I'm like, and then you see them in nationals rehearsing. And I think that like, that's their way of being like, hey, when they actually lock in and they do what they're going to like set out to do in a setlist, then they can win. But like, when they kind of like throw something together like this, and like, I'm thinking about even the dresses that like, it's like screaming like, did we put a lot of thought into this?

Whereas in season three, we see the dresses get made, you know? So I think that like, there's layers here. There's like, I think that they were doing something specific when they were like writing end of season three that they were like, hey, we need to let the audience know that they're actually locking in for this setlist. But there's some consistency.

[34:07] Emilee Carroll: Yeah. Light up the world. I love it. I think it's cute. I think it's like, I love the Naya vocals. I like that everybody, yeah, gets on the track. It's cute. This is like a weirdly hard competition for me, though.

[34:24] Audrey Campbell: Yeah. And I don't think it's the same for you. I know that you really care for both of them. I kind of, I feel like for both of these, if I'm correct, they'd probably be on the same like level for you, right?

[34:35] Emilee Carroll: Yeah. Not exactly a mid-off because I don't think anything is really...

[34:39] Audrey Campbell: No. There's hardly any mids at this point. And we're getting down to it. I mean, here and there. But like, yeah, that's a tough one for you.

[34:47] Emilee Carroll: Not for me, but it's a tough one for you. We're sorry for you.

[34:51] Audrey Campbell: I think that like what I'm hearing is that I'm going to do a pity vote for the first song is what I'm understanding. I don't know. I don't give too much away. Wait, are we ready to vote? Do we have any further thoughts?

[35:09] Emilee Carroll: My only, my last comment on Light Up The World as a former show choir kid is the standing up and like jumping and applause just always gets me. It just always cracks me up.

[35:16] Audrey Campbell: Yeah. Yeah. It just always kills me. Like, that's not, that's not, that's not a thing.

[35:23] Emilee Carroll: Okay. Voting time.

[35:26] Audrey Campbell: Sure.

[35:27] Emilee Carroll: Emily.

[35:29] Emilee Carroll: I'm gonna vote for Light Up The World.

[35:32] Audrey Campbell: I'm also going to vote for Light Up The World.

[35:36] Emilee Carroll: I'm gonna do, it's not even a pity vote, Elijah. It's not a pity vote. I'm voting for with, I'm going to vote with my entire chest for Superstition. What that song did for me, it gave me euphoria. It really did. I really had a great time watching that.

[35:56] Audrey Campbell: And it was a similar. Well, what makes me sad then to see it go for you?

[36:01] Emilee Carroll: No, because I understand like that's a, that's a, that's a, that's a, I understand like that's like one of those songs where it's like, I think it's the last song of that episode, Wonderful, that's left. This also might be the last song of New York that's still around, if I'm not mistaken. But I don't think, I think that this was kind of like a crazy matchup, because I think that both of these songs would have lost in another competition.

[36:31] Audrey Campbell: I agree. I think that depending on yeah, what it would have been against, but again, that's the way that the Glockent works.

[36:40] Emilee Carroll: There we go.

[36:41] Audrey Campbell: There we go.

[36:43] Emilee Carroll: Okay, ready to see song number one of the second competition.

[36:49] Audrey Campbell: No.

[36:51] Emilee Carroll: No, no, I'm scared.

[36:54] Audrey Campbell: Look at it.

[36:56] Emilee Carroll: I'm not kidding.

[37:00] Audrey Campbell: Can't write that.

[37:01] Emilee Carroll: Oh, you're making me watch.

[37:04] Audrey Campbell: It's Christmas rapping. I, this could not have been more perfect because I was like, one of some of these songs where like people are really campaigning for like, to not campaigning.

[37:46] Emilee Carroll: It is very short. How long is that? That is one minute, 18 seconds.

[37:53] Audrey Campbell: They have a lot of songs to get through in that episode.

[37:57] Emilee Carroll: You'll never get the one minute and 18 seconds back.

[38:00] Audrey Campbell: Can I just give my singular comment before? Because I do want to hear this tirade. I've never paid attention to Harry Shum Jr. in this, the way that I was. And giving out like...

[38:09] Emilee Carroll: He is the star of the show, I think. I don't know if he's back there as Santa, doing his jig. He has like the sack of... What is he giving out? Is he giving out the baton? What's it called?

[38:24] Audrey Campbell: I think he's giving out the ribbons, the ribbon dancers.

[38:28] Emilee Carroll: Yeah, and then he collects them. That was the only positive thing I also had to say, is that I love what he was doing. And the ribbons, I think it's cute. I think the ribbon dancing, I think the actual like visual is cute.

[38:40] Audrey Campbell: I don't have a problem with the actual like, this is a cheerio number in the Christmas special. I think that aspect of it is cute. I just, I mean, I have sung Christmas songs throughout all high school and college. And I was in all the groups that would go caroling and do stuff. I love Christmas music. I love it. I get crazy over the holidays, but this song, for me, is the worst Christmas song in eternity.

[39:18] Emilee Carroll: I hate that it's-

[39:18] Audrey Campbell: In eternity?

[39:19] Emilee Carroll: In eternity, ever. Wait, I want you to like consider, maybe you already are, but like the chipmunk song, for instance. You're considering that?

[39:27] Audrey Campbell: I love the chipmunk song 10 times more than this song. And I hate the chipmunk song.

[39:32] Emilee Carroll: What about like, what's it called? The Christmas shoes song?

[39:35] Audrey Campbell: Oh, that's another one. I hate that song too. That's right up there with Christmas rapping.

[39:40] Emilee Carroll: Wait, Christmas shoe is like kind of iconic though.

[39:43] Audrey Campbell: It is, but I hate it.

[39:46] Emilee Carroll: It's kind of like universally hated.

[39:49] Audrey Campbell: Yeah, it's like the storytelling in a song. I hate how it's like spoke sung. I hate that it, I just, I hate that. Oh my God, I hate it so much.

[40:01] Emilee Carroll: Wait, that's my, that is like literally the only note that I wrote down that I love. It literally-

[40:04] Audrey Campbell: The trumpet.

[40:11] Emilee Carroll: Merry Christmas. I think it's so cute. I swear to God, I can hear this song playing like anywhere. Like if I'm in like a store or pumping gas or somewhere, if like this song is playing, it's like dog ears. I'm like, where is it? Like kill it. I hate it.

[40:27] Audrey Campbell: I think it's important to add that we are recording this conversation on September 7th. We're not, we're, I guess we're getting close to the Christmas season.

[40:38] Emilee Carroll: We're getting there, it's going to happen.

[40:40] Audrey Campbell: But we're definitely not in it. Do you change your tune at all when it's in the Christmas season?

[40:48] Emilee Carroll: No.

[40:48] Audrey Campbell: Oh, no. The only thing about it is that it's worse because it's actually playing out in the wild. But it's like, when you're, if you were to like list like most popular Christmas songs in terms of like being played at like TJ Maxx or something.

[41:07] Emilee Carroll: Sure.

[41:07] Audrey Campbell: You know, Christmas wrapping isn't in the like the top 25, is it?

[41:12] Emilee Carroll: You would think, but I used to work in a grocery store and now I work in a Walmart. I work in a bank in a Walmart. I bet you any money this Christmas, I am going to hear that at least once a day. At least once a day. Because they play Christmas music. They try to like, now they try to play like modern stuff and old stuff and classic, that this is in that mix at least once a day in an eight to 10 hour shift. And oh my God, I just can't. I am so terrified this year that I'm going to like, lose it.

[41:41] Audrey Campbell: Wait, but what is...

[41:46] Emilee Carroll: Away from my job. What is your number one Christmas song of all time?

[41:51] Audrey Campbell: I know, my number one Christmas song of all time. Um, this is kind of controversial. It's actually, I think it's Simply Having a Wonderful Christmas Time by Paul McCartney.

[42:01] Emilee Carroll: Very cute. Good answer.

[42:04] Audrey Campbell: The other one I will say though is, um, uh, Dolly Parton, Hard Candy Christmas.

[42:11] Emilee Carroll: Those are my two favorite Christmas songs.

[42:12] Audrey Campbell: I don't know if I know that one.

[42:14] Emilee Carroll: Oh, she just passed. You go listen to that.

[42:17] Audrey Campbell: I need to. I need to stop ruining Christmas wrapping. I think it's what we've talked about before that I thought would be a good addition for a Christmas episode. Um, but it's more kind of almost on the line of country. So I get why you probably didn't do it, but...

[42:33] Emilee Carroll: Who do you think would do, um, and I have, I think I have an answer for this. Simply Having a Wonderful Christmas Time. Who do you think would sing that?

[42:42] Audrey Campbell: I think it would probably be like a Finn or Sam.

[42:45] Emilee Carroll: Oh, really?

[42:46] Audrey Campbell: Yeah. I mean, yeah, that's what I think.

[42:51] Emilee Carroll: I'm feeling, I was going to say Finn or Blaine, honestly.

[42:56] Audrey Campbell: I was going to say Blaine. Yeah.

[42:58] Emilee Carroll: Okay. Yeah. I can see Blaine too.

[43:00] Audrey Campbell: Blaine just like in his cardigan, just like kind of just like doing that bopping around.

[43:06] Emilee Carroll: Yeah. I could definitely see that.

[43:08] Audrey Campbell: But I see Finn too. Yeah.

[43:10] Emilee Carroll: Yeah. I see the, the Finn in front of the choir room, you know, singing a Paul McCartney song. Maybe, you know, Puck accompanying a guitar or something, but...

[43:21] Audrey Campbell: Right.

[43:21] Emilee Carroll: Yeah.

[43:22] Audrey Campbell: Um, do we have anything to add to Christmas wrapping?

[43:26] Emilee Carroll: I don't know. Did you have anything to say? Because I kind of just like took over everything.

[43:29] Audrey Campbell: No, you're good.

[43:30] Emilee Carroll: That was your stage.

[43:31] Audrey Campbell: The only note that I wrote down was the trumpets, which I love, which you hated. Um, I guess I wanted to add that, like, it does bother me in this performance that like, um, Tina and Mike are shoehorned into someone else's number instead of getting a number of their own, which I know is kind of like name the game with them, um, that they don't get their own numbers. But like, it is like kind of egregious that like, every there's like, literally, I think, like 10 songs in this episode. And just like, give Tina and Mike something to do. You know, there was room.

[44:12] Emilee Carroll: Yeah. Audrey, any final things to say?

[44:15] Audrey Campbell: No. Um, I mean, I don't think I knew. Honestly, I don't think I even knew this song before Glee. So Glee brought this into my life. Um, I don't know. It's not my favorite Christmas song from Glee or period. So, you know, it's a shame. This is the last. It's a real shame. This is last one left. Yeah.

[44:35] Emilee Carroll: And one of two songs by the Waitresses in Glee. How do you feel about I Know What Boys Like?

[44:41] Audrey Campbell: Not for me. That's not for me.

[44:43] Emilee Carroll: Not for you.

[44:45] Audrey Campbell: I like it in the, yeah, I like it in the context of the show, right? I like it for Lauren Benzies. I'm never streaming it because it's kind of like this. It's another talk singing song.

[44:56] Emilee Carroll: Yes.

[44:57] Audrey Campbell: That's the Waitresses thing. And that's why they are not for me. Like, I just, I don't really care for it. But in the context of the show of the character, I think it was a perfect song for her. It worked. Yeah.

[45:10] Emilee Carroll: It's go listen to it. It's kind of fun to like, actually listen to because it's like fun to like, imagine like, non singer Ashley Fink in the studio. You know? Um, okay, last song of the episode. Let's see. It literally.

[45:26] Emilee Carroll: It's Ice Ice Baby.

[45:28] Audrey Campbell: Oh, no, it's not Ice Ice Baby. But I just think that like, there were no there were no bangers in this episode.

[45:36] Emilee Carroll: Yeah. It's my curse, Andrew.

[45:38] Audrey Campbell: I was kind of looking over the list. There were a lot. There were a lot of like, oh, I can't believe this is still here song.

[45:44] Emilee Carroll: Wait, Audra, I feel like kind of like consistently every time that you pop in.

[45:49] Audrey Campbell: Yeah, I get the non bangers. Yeah.

[45:51] Emilee Carroll: What is that about?

[45:52] Audrey Campbell: I don't know.

[45:53] Emilee Carroll: What songs have you had in the past?

[45:56] Audrey Campbell: Um, I know. Hang on. Round one. I think I had like pure imagination.

[46:01] Emilee Carroll: You had like bust a move. You had like no time at all.

[46:03] Audrey Campbell: Pure imagination. Bust a move. No time at all. It's too late. Give me more. I need you now.

[46:09] Emilee Carroll: Yeah. Wow. And I think like, it's like the number one song there. Need you now?

[46:19] Audrey Campbell: I think so. Yeah. I was like, you pulled that one. And I was like, oh, I got a decent song.

[46:24] Emilee Carroll: You got one decent song.

[46:26] Audrey Campbell: And then the last time that we had you, Audra, it was, um, Natural Woman, Cell Block Tango, Bitch, Outcast, I'll Stand By You Season Five, and I Know Where I've Been. So some better ones. We trended up.

[46:44] Emilee Carroll: Yeah. Um, do you think that this is trending? I'm going to show you what it is.

[46:49] Audrey Campbell: So far in the episode, trending up or trending?

[46:52] Emilee Carroll: So far trending neutral.

[46:55] Audrey Campbell: Neutral.

[46:56] Emilee Carroll: Oh, see, this is a hit for me.

[46:57] Audrey Campbell: Oh, this is a hit for you. Okay. Okay. Of course, we're looking at Summer Nights. Here we go.

[47:04] Emilee Carroll: It's just silly. It's silly. What happened to silly? Um, I think it's cute. I think it's fine.

[47:14] Audrey Campbell: Um, Audrey, what are you thinking? Summer Nights?

[47:17] Emilee Carroll: Well, so I am notoriously, to myself, a really big Grease stan. Like, I just really, really love Grease. I listen to it somewhat frequently. And I actually think that Glee did a great job with almost all of its Grease covers, I think.

[47:35] Audrey Campbell: You say almost all.

[47:36] Emilee Carroll: Without looking at a list. Without looking at a list. I don't know. I'd have to look at a list. Um, I think they did a good job with all of them.

[47:45] Audrey Campbell: Wait, someone...

[47:46] Emilee Carroll: We're saying Summer Nights. We're saying, um, Born to Hand Jive. We're saying Hopelessly Devoted to You. We're saying Grease Lightning. Um, Look at Me, I'm Sandra Dee. Twice. Beauty School Dropout.

[48:01] Audrey Campbell: Beauty School Dropout. You're the One That I Want. There are Worst Things I Could Do. I think that might be it.

[48:08] Emilee Carroll: Yeah. I think they nailed them. I think they did a good job. I think they did great. I streamed them all. I don't skip any.

[48:14] Audrey Campbell: Is there any skip for me? I think that the closest one to a skip for me, you're gonna hate this answer, Hopelessly Devoted to You. I just don't think that song's for me, though. I'm sorry.

[48:26] Emilee Carroll: That's not for you.

[48:28] Audrey Campbell: It's not for me. I respect it. It's not for me. Emily, do you like that one?

[48:33] Emilee Carroll: Have you had the privilege to hear Darren Criss sing that live?

[48:38] Audrey Campbell: Oh, does he perform that live?

[48:40] Emilee Carroll: He has, yes. And it is a treat. It is good.

[48:45] Audrey Campbell: I have not heard that. Emily, where do you stand with Hopelessly Devoted to You?

[48:51] Emilee Carroll: I'm okay with it. I like it. I think that his performance is really good, and I'm sure he would be incredible live. I mean, I feel like Darren Criss could sing anything to me live, and I'd be like, yay. But I think that Grease, it's not my favorite show. I'm a big musical theater person. It's not my favorite show, but did Glee do it justice? Absolutely. I think that they took it and made it feel very much like Glee does, right? Where it's like, okay, there's some stuff in realism, and then there's some stuff that's like, you can tell it's a dream. When they do, you're the one that I want, and all the alumni are up there. So it's super fun. Definitely.

[49:40] Emilee Carroll: I love that they did it on location. It is so reminiscent of the movie. And it's just super cute and fun. It always just makes me laugh because although Amber Riley is like classically trained, it feels just so out of her character to do this song. But it's fun. It's fun to see the other things she does. It's so non-Mercedes, but it's definitely up Sam's alley. So it almost seems like, oh, yeah, I'll do this song with you or I'll do this, you know, this thing. So I don't know. It's fun. It's just fun. That is a really good point that I wasn't considering, that it feels like much more in tune with Sam's vibe, that like Mercedes is almost like just singing it to go along with him subconsciously.

Yeah, which I think is really, really sweet. And you see in the show, he does a lot to sacrifice for her, right? You see a lot of like him, especially in the later, like when they get back together in New York. I think of like when she's got her friends and he's trying, even though he's failing miserably, like, yeah, he puts in a lot of effort to live in her world where this kind of feels even early on, even if it was subconscious or not consciously that, you know, she's doing this. She's trying.

[51:34] Audrey Campbell: Yeah, because I think that like, even like in the Greece episodes that they do later, that like Sam like talks about like having a special connection with Greece, like he definitely likes this musical.

[51:46] Audrey Campbell: I think this is one of my favorite ways that they incorporated a lot of the cast, obviously not all of the cast, but a lot of them. I love that Kurt's with the girls. I love the line that he gets. I love that.

[52:03] Emilee Carroll: You do like that Kurt's with the girls.

[52:07] Audrey Campbell: I do. I think it fits. I love his line. I love Santana with the sunglasses, kicking them off the bench. It's very, it goes with the movie. I think they did a great job just slotting the characters into the Greece characters and making it feel very Greece-like.

[52:24] Emilee Carroll: No, I was just gonna say, I think Kurt would have been not right with the guys. So it would have been with the girls or not at all. But I guess then my question is then Blaine, would, does Blaine make sense with the guys instead?

[52:37] Audrey Campbell: I think so. He's like gym buddies with the guys, like even with the football team and stuff. You know, they show all those later seasons where he's like, they're all lifting weights and you wouldn't see Kurt in there with the guys.

[52:53] Emilee Carroll: Yeah, right. Okay. Okay. He can bro out.

[52:56] Audrey Campbell: Yeah.

[53:00] Emilee Carroll: Summer Nights, I think it's cute. I think it's like, I really love the thing that really ties it together for me is the, um, at the end of like the, when they're doing the note at the end of Summer Nights, um, and you see like this like fade in of Mercedes, which I think is so cute. Um, in the pullout of both of them all doing the note. I think that's so sweet. Um, and I think that like, I really liked the outfits that the girls are wearing. Like I liked like Rachel's like red overcoat that she's wearing. I think like Quinn's wearing a yellow coat. Um, I just think it's cute all around. I'm liking it, but this is another one where I'm like, Summer Nights should not be making it to round five and yet here we are. But I guess, I don't know how we're voting actually. So do we have any final notes before we vote?

[54:01] Audrey Campbell: Hang on. I have to see what, I have to see what she took out. Cause now that you said that, I'm curious. I think Summer Nights took out, took out, um.

[54:07] Emilee Carroll: It took out Fighter in the last round.

[54:15] Audrey Campbell: Summer Nights did? Yes.

[54:18] Emilee Carroll: Wait, that's crazy. I agree, that is crazy. Who was on that episode?

[54:21] Audrey Campbell: Um, that was Matt and Pat. I think I had words about that one. Um, okay. And then the second round Summer Nights was up against My Love is Your Love. I like that song a lot more.

[54:30] Emilee Carroll: So Summer Nights like kind of like has kind of like taken off some baddies so far. But you're right about round one. It was Bye Bye Bye. I want it that way.

[54:44] Audrey Campbell: Bye Bye Bye. I want it that way.

[54:49] Emilee Carroll: Yeah.

[54:51] Audrey Campbell: Are we ready to vote?

[54:53] Emilee Carroll: I'm always ready to vote on this one. Well, I know what Emily's voting for. So just go ahead and do it. I'm gonna vote for Summer Nights. Get that Christmas wrapping out of here. Go back to December.

[55:06] Audrey Campbell: Um, I, oh, I don't know. Audrey, I want to do a Christmas wrapping vote. But I don't know if I, I don't know if I mean it. I think I actually had a better time watching Summer Nights. So I think I'm gonna vote for Summer Nights.

[55:21] Emilee Carroll: Yeah, a Christmas wrapping game, get out of here. It's a Summer Nights.

[55:28] Audrey Campbell: Yeah, for sure. Yes. No more. No more Christmas songs. I'm sorry Heather Forest. You deserve better to have that be your last solo here. But like I said, I will say I think it in Glee Christmas wrapping is cute. It is cute. Like the whole scene of it. It's just that they would have picked a better song. That's the song.

[55:48] Emilee Carroll: What would you rather place in?

[55:56] Audrey Campbell: Ooh, something that they haven't done already. I mean, simply having a wonderful Christmas time. Who could have? I love, um, and I don't think that Heather Morris is the right person for this track. But, um, oh, Santa. Santa's gonna come and make you mine this Christmas.

[56:10] Emilee Carroll: Santa's gonna come and make you mine. Which like, couldn't you see like the Cheerios doing that?

[56:15] Audrey Campbell: Absolutely. It would be really cute. Or what about, did, did Ariana Grande's Santa tell me?

[56:23] Emilee Carroll: Oh, that's a great idea. I think that came out after. I don't think that was out yet.

[56:29] Audrey Campbell: But it's a great idea.

[56:30] Emilee Carroll: Yeah, because what, this was season?

[56:36] Audrey Campbell: Three.

[56:36] Emilee Carroll: Three. Season three.

[56:39] Audrey Campbell: So yeah, probably. Huh. Well.

[56:42] Emilee Carroll: Yeah.

[56:43] Audrey Campbell: Crazy episode. I'm really sorry that like, Audrey, I remember like apologizing to you before. That it was like, I'm sorry that you got some clunkers. We got, I got Grease. We're good.

[56:48] Emilee Carroll: You got Grease. Right. I'm never gonna get a Blaine solo. And I've just come to terms with that. So that's okay.

[56:54] Audrey Campbell: A day will come.

[56:56] Emilee Carroll: That's okay. The closest, the closest that you've come is It's Too Late. Is that right?

[57:01] Audrey Campbell: Yes.

[57:03] Emilee Carroll: Yeah.

[57:04] Audrey Campbell: Which I think I voted out. My daddy killed that. That's my favorite Carole King song.

[57:11] Emilee Carroll: Oh.

[57:12] Audrey Campbell: And also, No Time At All, which I think that like, people are not talking about. If you play the tape, I talked up that song on that episode on that very first episode I was on.

[57:21] Emilee Carroll: Wait, what did I say?

[57:23] Audrey Campbell: Well, you voted against her, but I think I voted for her.

[57:27] Emilee Carroll: Of course.

[57:29] Audrey Campbell: Um, recap for this episode. Is that a season six song?

[57:32] Emilee Carroll: Season five.

[57:34] Audrey Campbell: Season five finale. Pippin.

[57:36] Emilee Carroll: Right? It's a great show.

[57:39] Audrey Campbell: Um, recap for this episode, Superstition. Um, I was superstitious about how you would do in the Glockett. And I'm correct. I don't know. What are we saying? A black cat walked across the path.

[57:59] Emilee Carroll: Oh, how about Superstition Ain't The Way.

[58:02] Audrey Campbell: There you go. Superstition Ain't The Way. Um, girl, you're gonna light up the world in round five. There we go.

[58:14] Emilee Carroll: Here we go. Here we go. Emily, you've been waiting for this. Ready?

[58:20] Audrey Campbell: I'm waiting. Christmas wrap it up because you're out of here.

[58:29] Emilee Carroll: There we go. Summer nights. Um, you got a summer day on the new dawn in round five. I don't know. Kind of as clunky as, as we could probably get with these songs. I feel like, you know, great time. You gotta do cleanup.

[58:40] Audrey Campbell: Yeah. And you know what, Emily, we got to fulfill your, your Gleek dream of, your Glockett dream of Christmas wrapping. So I'm so happy we could do that for you.

[58:47] Emilee Carroll: The second time I've had the, I've had a high and a low. So I had my man, like however many back that I was and it went home, but it's back and continuing to do well. And now Christmas wrapping and I am so happy to have killed her. I can't wait to tell my husband.

[59:01] Audrey Campbell: I was on your side for that my man thing. That was, that was crazy work.

[59:07] Emilee Carroll: Yes. Thank you. My man versus four minutes.

[59:10] Audrey Campbell: Of course.

[59:12] Emilee Carroll: Emily, do you have anything to leave the Gleeks? Do you want to say anything at all?

[1:00:22] Audrey Campbell: Congratulations.

[1:00:23] Emilee Carroll: Wait, currently? Where are you?

[1:00:26] Emilee Carroll: I'm in Lake Tahoe with my husband and then we're staying with his uncles. This is where we, this is where we came on our honeymoon. So we were like going back.

[1:00:32] Audrey Campbell: Wait, so you're literally, you're doing this recording while on vacation?

[1:00:37] Emilee Carroll: Yeah. But like, this is fun. This isn't work.

[1:00:42] Audrey Campbell: Well, I appreciate it. Audrey, do you have anything to say to the Gleeks? What do you have to say to them?

[1:00:45] Audrey Campbell: You are welcome to follow me at Audrey Rose with I think two Ys on Instagram. I don't, I'm not super active and it's just a lot of horses. So, but you are always welcome to talk about Glee with me or anything. So the Jonas Brothers, whatever. I love hearing that people like, like with like Patrick or like Connor, whoever, or Emily or yourself that like, that like these connections of like the glisteners like reaching out and just being like, oh no, that makes me so happy when they.

[1:01:19] Emilee Carroll: Yeah.

[1:01:20] Audrey Campbell: I had someone actually, what was really sweet. I don't recall his name and now I feel terrible, but when we had some really bad storms going on here, like tornadoes and houses being, I had someone and shout out now I'm going to have to find who it is. They reached out to me and they said, Hey, I'm also in Wisconsin. I just want to make sure you're safe. And I was like, oh my God. And I was, they were too, but it was just like, that's so good. What a great community.

[1:01:48] Emilee Carroll: Yeah. I'm being looked out for by the Gleeks. I love it. Um, okay. Well, thank you so much for listening until next week.

[1:01:55] Emilee Carroll: Okay. Bye. It's Gleek, Gleek of the week.
