[0:00] Andrew McGuire: We've got a mission to find the best song that's ever been on Glee. There's no rhyme or reason to it, so don't get mad at me. Gleek it by Gleek it, we'll rank everyone to see which song will move closer to spot number one. Gleek of the Week, Gleek, Gleek, Gleek of the Week. It's Gleek, Gleek of the Week. Gleek check-in, Gleek check-in. Hello everybody, welcome to another round of the Ultimate Song Vote Back. I needed to check what we were calling this officially. I'm really, we're really getting to the brass tacks of what song is worthy of joining the ranks of round four. So without further ado, let's get into what y'all voted for this past week.

[1:02] Andrew McGuire: Okay, so the first competition was Don't Stop Believing Regional's version versus Creep. Don't Stop Believing did win with 59% and Creep got 41. So sorry, Eduardo. Eduardo is somewhere doing the Veronica Fairly Oddparents scream down on the escalator. If you know, you know. Okay, so and then next up is Chasing Pavements versus the Bitches Back Dress You Up, my season four newbie off. And Chasing Pavements is cleaning up with a 66% leaving Bitches Back only with 33. I'm kind of surprised by that. I thought that y'all rode hard for Bitches Back. But Chasing Pavements, very cutesy, very, very real and obviously Adele fan here. I gotta, I gotta pledge allegiance to my pavements.

[2:00] Andrew McGuire: Okay, and here's the gag. Here's the full gag. You guys were waiting for a gag and here it is. The next competition is Born This Way versus My Life Would Suck Without You. We're talking 50-50, which means I decided both of them get one more shot at being voted back into round four of the Glacket. Both of them will be in the cup. And hey, they might actually just go right back against each other. Who the heck knows? I just found that very interesting. 72 people voted and 50-50%. What would that be? Wait, 72 divided by two. That is 72 divided by two. So 36 each.

[2:49] Andrew McGuire: Next up is Don't Dream It's Over versus It's All Coming Back to Me Now. Don't Dream It's Over. Listen, it was never really a big stream for me. And unfortunately, it's not living to see another day. It was voted out in round one of the Glacket and it's not being voted back into round four. I'm so, so sorry, Don't Dream It's Over. It's All Coming Back to Me Now won with 76% of the votes. I personally, is that the song that I'm campaigning for? It might be. Even though I did personally elect Don't Stop Believing Regional's version, it really is dependent on the day between It's All Coming Back to Me Now and Don't Stop Believing Regional's version. I would be very happy with either of those options.

[3:37] Andrew McGuire: And then, oh, this was the nasty, the final competition. Nasty work competition. I still haven't found what I'm looking for versus More Than a Feeling. Listen, More Than a Feeling, so beautiful. I implore all of you to immediately stream after you finish listening to this. More Than a Feeling, Gleecast's version by Gleecast. What Darren and Jenna, specifically Jenna, does on this song? Incredible work. But obviously, with I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For, you get both of those vocalists and also you get the very senti- sentimenty quarry flashbacks, which I mean, who are we to deny?

[4:27] Andrew McGuire: Okay, and then so that means that there are six songs here in this cup, which means we're really, I planned this out really well. So we are going in the first episode of round four, which is coming up fast at the end of this month, beginning of next month if you are listening on podcast platforms. But if you're a patron, you get to listen to I believe on May 29th. It will be announced what of these songs gets to participate in round four in the round four premiere episode, which I just booked yesterday. Hey, very exciting.

[5:09] Andrew McGuire: Okay, so let's see. First competition of this next vote back. Born This Way, I swear to God, if it's My Life Would Suck Without You. It is again, My Life Would Suck Without You versus Born This Way. Please really do some thinking. I know that you always think, Gleeks, but really think this time. What are you valuing? Me personally, if you had to ask, what do I like better? Hmm. I definitely stream Born This Way more. But I think My Life Would Suck Without You is the better option. I'll say that.

[5:49] Andrew McGuire: Next up is It's All Coming Back to Me Now. Oh, God, oh, God, oh, God, I'm scared. I'm scared. versus Chasing Pavements. New Rachel versus Old Rachel. Okay, leaving. I still haven't found what I'm looking for versus Don't Stop Believing regionals version against each other. Listen, it's no one said it was no one said it was easy. No one ever said it was going to be this hard to quote, you know, the scientist himself. So you know what to do with the big fat butt. I hate that I just said that. You know what to do. Go to patreon.com slash Gleek the Week pod. You have a week to vote on these competitions. Really think about it. You don't need to vote immediately. You can really stew on it. Listen to all six of these songs. Really consider, hey, which of these actually does stand a chance to be the best song on Glee? That's the question that we're asking.

[7:01] Andrew McGuire: And then vote in with that in mind. Again, the competitions are Born This Way versus My Life Would Suck Without You again. It's All Coming Back to Me Now versus Chasing Pavements. And I still haven't found what I'm looking for versus Don't Stop Believing regionals version. All of these hurt bad. None of these are simple. So, um, again, patreon.com slash Gleek the Week pod. I'm so excited. Again, I cannot stress enough how excited I am for I really feel like round four of the Glackett is really when we're going to lock in when we're really going to really decide what the best song on Glee is.

[7:31] Andrew McGuire: I think that it's going to no longer actually be fun for me. It might be fun for you. I hope that it's fun for you as a listener. I think that the times of me leaving a recording and being able to be like, Oh, go on going about my day now are over, especially considering that we are done round four with voting songs back that what happens in the recording stays there. You know, there's no, there's no changing the votes that happened. So we're going into round four with 100 songs and we're leaving with 50, which is really, really one of the scariest things to think about. Think about all the scariest things in the world. That's probably top three.

[8:25] Andrew McGuire: Okay, so with that, I hope that you enjoy your week. Thank you so much for everything for listening for being a patron for going on this going on this ride with me ride with me to quote the unreleased Glee song from season one. Love you so much. Okay, goodbye. It's Gleek, Gleek of the week.
