About

Get ready to laugh with our latest episode of the Theatre Thoughts Podcast! In this episode, we take a deep dive into two hilarious shows from the Melbourne International Comedy Festival 2023.

First up is "The Briefing," a side-splitting send-up of right-wing politics that takes aim at both the US and Australia. American writer and comedian Melissa McGlensey transforms into right-wing blowhard Sarah Huckabee Sanders to give us a journey of absurd political theatre, partisan nonsense and dark humor. And the best part? You get the chance to join in the fun with an improvised Q&A session that's sure to leave you in stitches.

Next up is "Be Good," a narrative sketch show that follows the story of Jan, a woman who just wants to make everyone happy, but it's making her miserable. Laura Josephine, the comedian, actor and writer behind the show, takes us on a journey of self-discovery and empowerment, reminding us all to take the wheel of our own lives, even when it feels like everything is going wrong.
