Erica A. Hart, CSA, is a casting director and producer known for her work in film, television, and theater. A graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, she began her career at ABC Primetime Casting in New York, later becoming an independent casting director with projects featured at Tribeca, SXSW, Outfest, Cinequest, and Cannes. She cast and associate produced The Surrogate, a Variety Critics' Pick and one of Indiewire’s Best Movies Eligible for a 2021 Oscar.
Her television casting credits include That Damn Michael Che (HBO Max), Black Mirror Season 6 (U.S. Casting, Netflix), Bust Down (Peacock), The Girls on the Bus (HBO Max), and A Black Lady Sketch Show Season 4 (HBO Max). On Broadway, she cast Chicken & Biscuits, Pass Over, Death of a Salesman, and Jaja’s African Hair Braiding.
Hart serves on the Board of Governors for the Casting Society of America and is a member of the Television Academy. She has taught television audition techniques at Harvard University and NYU’s Graduate Acting Program. She won an Artios Award in 2021 for The Surrogate.
