Sandy Rustin

Sandy Rustin is an actress and award-winning playwright recently named by American Theatre magazine as one of the “Most-Produced Playwrights of the ’22-’23 season.” Her stage adaptation of the film Clue is one of the most produced plays in the U.S., with 3,000+ productions worldwide. Other works include: the musical stage adaptation of MGM’s Mystic Pizza, the concert adaptations of Dear World and I Married an Angel for New York City Center Encores!, Jolly Holiday; A Celebration of Disney on Broadway, Mattel’s American Girl Live!, The Suffragette’s Murder (2023 Denver Center New Plays Summit/Florida Studio Theatre commission), Rated P for Parenthood (Off Broadway/ABC-TV), Houston (New American Musical Award), Elijah (Jewish Plays Project Selection), and many more. For television, Sandy is developing a live action/digital puppet series with The Jim Henson Company.
