Anika Noni Rose is a Tony Award-winning actress, singer, and voice artist who has made a significant impact on Broadway and beyond. Her powerful vocals and captivating stage presence have captivated audiences worldwide.

Rose made her Broadway debut in 2000 in the revival of Footloose, playing Rusty, the rebellious teenager who teaches the town to dance. Her performance earned her critical acclaim and a nomination for the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Featured Actress in a Musical.

In 2004, Rose landed the role of Emmie Thibodeaux in the groundbreaking musical Caroline, or Change, a poignant exploration of race, class, and the complexities of relationships in the 1960s American South. Her portrayal of Emmie, a young maid torn between her dreams and her responsibilities, garnered her a Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical.

Rose continued to impress on Broadway with her performances in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (2008) and A Raisin in the Sun (2014), earning a Tony nomination for the latter. She has also graced the stages of Off-Broadway productions, including The Vagina Monologues and Three Sistahs in a Brother's Garden.

Beyond Broadway, Rose is widely recognized for her voice role as Princess Tiana in Disney's animated film The Princess and the Frog (2009). She became the first African-American Disney princess, inspiring generations of young girls. Rose has also appeared in films such as Dreamgirls (2006) and For Colored Girls (2010), and has lent her voice to various animated series and video games.
