Khalia is born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area in California. She started acting for television and film at the age of 6 years old and spent much of her childhood traveling and working between San Francisco and Los Angeles until she got to high school. She started working for theater conservatory camps as a counselor for children and realized that she truly loved teaching young people. She graduated from the University of Southern California with high honors and a BA in Theater Arts.
